LANO, Recovery Corps reach out to nonprofits affected by Gustav

LANO, in partnership with the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps, wants to help nonprofits across the state in the relief and recovery process following Hurricane Gustav.

Leaders of nonprofits who are in need of assistance - or who have assistance to offer - are asked to check with LANO by calling (225) 343-5266 or emailing louisiananonprofits@gmail.com.

"As we saw with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, nonprofit organizations have once again stepped up to meet the needs in their local communities," said Dr. Melanie Guste, LANO's president and CEO. "LANO wants to know how we, as a statewide nonprofit membership network, can collaborate with other networks and assist these organizatins in providing much needed services."
