Communications Manager
The Louisiana Family Recovery Corps is seeking a talented individual to fill its Communications Manager position. The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong writing skills and a creative approach to disseminating a streamlined message and vision simultaneously to a number of different audiences. The Communications Manager must also assist in the development of communications strategies and state and national campaigns for the agency, create elements utilized in the implementation of those strategies and campaigns, and assist in outreach to the general public, lawmakers, the media, partner organizations, and internal staff. In addition to cultivating positive relationships with key political officials, the media, and agency partners, the Communications Manager will also assist in the promotion of the organization through media research, creating fact sheets, writing press releases, developing talking points, and producing collateral materials. A degree in mass communications, communication studies, or journalism is preferred, along with a proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Quark Express. Salary is commensurate with experience.

 

Director of Fund Development

The Louisiana Family Recovery Corps is seeking a Director of Fund Development. The Director of Fund Development provides the day-to-day direction, planning, and execution of the Recovery Corps’ development goals and objectives. This will include, but is not limited to, major gift fundraising, grant writing, corporate and government solicitation, and serving as agency liaison when needed. Essential responsibilities include designing and implementing a fund development plan; identifying, building relationships with, and soliciting all current donors, new prospects, and potential grant-making organizations and individuals; writing fundraising materials and correspondences; overseeing the growth and maintenance of the fundraising tracking and reporting systems; working with the President/CEO to enhance overall agency development efforts; and Working with the communications director and research and policy staff to ensure external communications reflect donor-focused content.
